What this is

This is the agreement between you and glowhood when you visit the site, place an order, or otherwise transact with us. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Who we are

glowhood is a small e-commerce store that lists heritage and craft objects from named makers around the world. We do not warehouse inventory; each order is fulfilled from the maker (or their authorized distributor). The store is operated from the United States. The legal name and contact details are below.

What you can buy

What is listed on glowhood.xyz, in the quantities and at the prices shown, while inventory at the maker permits. Maker stock changes; we reflect that within reason but cannot guarantee a listed product remains available between the moment you load the page and the moment you click buy.

What happens when you place an order

  • You agree to pay the price shown.
  • We charge your payment method when you place the order. If the maker cannot fulfill the order for any reason, we refund the full amount within five business days.
  • We do not ship until we have your payment cleared.
  • We send confirmation by email immediately, and a tracking link when the maker ships.

Pricing

Prices are in US dollars. We may change prices at any time, but a change does not retroactively affect orders already placed. Sale prices, when shown with a strikethrough comparison price, reflect a comparison to the maker's MSRP — not a previous price on this site.

Section 0.5

Every sale on glowhood — every single one — funds at minimum one Finnish sauna session for one cancer patient through the §0.5 line item baked into our pricing. This commitment is part of the value of the store and part of the price you pay. We publish our sauna-funding ledger on the site once a quarter.

Things you can't do

You can't:

  • Use the site to defraud, scrape, or attack us or our makers.
  • Resell inventory bought from glowhood as if it were new from the maker. (We don't actively police this; we just won't help you when the maker complains.)
  • Pretend to be someone else when you place an order.
  • Use the site if you are subject to US sanctions.

Things we can't do

We can't:

  • Promise that a maker fulfills exactly on time.
  • Promise that a third-party shipper delivers on time.
  • Be liable for damage caused by anything we sell beyond a refund of the purchase price. (Use of products at your own risk per the maker's instructions.)

Disputes

If something goes wrong, email us first: support@glowhood.xyz. Most problems are solved in one back-and-forth. If we cannot resolve the issue within 30 days, the dispute is governed by US (Delaware) law and may proceed via arbitration before a court.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to customers who have placed an order in the last 12 months and posted on this page with the new effective date. By continuing to use the site after a change you accept the new terms.
