What we collect, and why

When you place an order, we collect the information necessary to deliver that order and to talk to you about it:

  • Your name and shipping address — so the maker (or their distributor) can send the item to you.
  • Your email address — for order confirmation, shipping updates, and replies if you contact us.
  • Your billing address and payment method — handled by Shopify Payments / our payment processor; we never see your full card number.
  • Your IP address and browser fingerprint — collected by Shopify's storefront analytics so we can detect fraud and tell pages-broken from working.

We collect no other data deliberately. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on the storefront. We do not sell, rent, or trade customer data.

Who sees your information

  • The maker (or their authorized distributor) for any item you order. They need your shipping address and your name. We send only what's needed for fulfillment.
  • Our payment processor (Shopify Payments / Shopify Checkout). They handle the card data; we get a confirmation that you paid, plus the last four digits of your card for receipts.
  • Our shipping carrier. Address, name, contact phone if you provide one for delivery problems.
  • Tax authorities. Where the law requires us to report a transaction.

Cookies

Shopify sets cookies necessary for the cart, checkout, and login (session cookies). We do not use marketing or analytics cookies beyond Shopify's first-party storefront analytics, which are aggregated and anonymized.

If you want to use the storefront without cookies, your browser can block them — checkout will not work, but browsing will.

Email

Order confirmations and shipping updates are transactional — we send them every time. If we ever start a marketing newsletter, it will be opt-in only, and the unsubscribe link will work on the first click.

Your rights

You can email privacy@glowhood.xyz to:

  • Request a copy of every piece of personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct anything wrong.
  • Delete your account and all associated data, except records we are required by law to retain (mostly: order receipts and tax documents, kept the legally minimum number of years).

We respond within 30 days. Usually within 3.

Children

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you are a parent and we have your child's data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we will email customers who have made a purchase in the last 12 months and post the change on this page with the new effective date. The previous version will be archived at /privacy-policy/archive/.

Where we operate

glowhood is operated from the United States. By using the site you consent to data processing in the US, even if you are outside it.
